The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham) is seeking applicants for the position of MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

Business description: AmCham Philippines is the oldest American Chamber abroad –and the first in Asia. It has been a premier business organization for over 100 years; initiated in 1902 and incorporated in 1920. It is committed to the promotion of US-RP relations at all levels and boasts 23 standing committees and two Foundations that cover all aspects of business and industry in the country.

Membership Coordinator

Responsibilities:
1. Solicit new members
2. Arrange induction and orientation of new potential members
3. Assists the Committee Chairman; oversee the monthly meetings of the membership comm.
4. Monitor unpaid members/yearly membership incoming and outgoing members
5. Solicit sponsors / donors for activities
6. Gather/update the database with new changes of members info, photo for the annual publication of directory; distribute news members list and changes to different departments.
7. Arrange special projects / social events for the members (Networking Night, Welcome Breakfast)
8. Disseminate info to members and assist in monthly membership meetings.

Accountabilities:
1. In charge of updating annual Directory in coordination with all the departments (The list of members are updated, analyzed and expanded)
2. Prepare notice, agenda, minutes of the meeting, Interim report and disseminate to the members of the comm.
3. Closely coordinate special activities to be able to achieve its objectives
4. See to it that sponsors receive the equivalent of their sponsorship through proper exposure in the AmCham magazine.
5. Provide database and photo for the publication of the directory on time.
6. Scheduled meetings are held
8. Feedback is received and acted upon (accommodate member’s request, handle complaints and respond to queries related to membership)

Requirements:
1. College graduate , preferably Business Administration, Mass Communications or Public Relations with a service oriented skill. 2. Should have at least 2 years experience in project management or selling and an understanding of the customer relationship process and basic professional selling and marketing skills. 3. Candidates with pleasing personality, totally fluent in written and oral English, confident, outgoing, smart, team player but self-starter, with the maturity to handle the pressure of the job.
4. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
5. Computer literate
